At Don Cafe, the star attraction is undoubtedly their legendary bánh mì sandwiches. But Don Cafe offers far more than just sandwiches. Their menu reads like a warm invitation to explore Vietnamese cuisine further — from delicate shrimp spring rolls and crispy egg rolls to hearty bowls of phở and bun vermicelli noodles topped with fragrant grilled pork and an egg roll. The Beef Stew Noodle Soup (Hủ tiếu bò kho) and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (Bún bò huế) deliver layers of rich, warming broth, making them perfect comfort food on any day.

I really enjoyed my sandwich and the fast service. The prices are great. This establishment takes cash only.
Don Café is a Houston staple that I’ve been coming to for years. The bánh mì is always on point—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. Their wonton noodle soup is comforting and delicious every time. And don’t miss the Vietnamese coffee—it packs a powerful punch and gives you that perfect energy boost. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or craving something familiar, this spot always delivers.
One of the oldest standing banh mi shops in Houston and is cash only. Got 3 bbq pork , 3 combination and 1 meat ball for 41 bucks. Ask for the veggies on the side if you’re not eating it on the spot or you’ll get your Sammie’s soggy.
Don Café is one of those restaurants that we always come by when we visit Houston. Usually order a few banh mi to go to bring back home and always hits. They are cash only. Sometimes service can take a while because they are often very busy so don’t expect to grab and go. It’s located on Bellaire and there’s plenty of parking.
One of my favorite bahn mi sandwiches, the bread is light and crisp and the char-grilled pork is my go to sandwich and I think one of the best in the city. I have been a customer for over 20 years and enjoy it every time I visit.
